Fresh OS install on SSD will files be wiped?

Currently have win7 installed on one of my HDDs and the other has all my media, can/how would I move my favorite programs over? My intentions are to move the programs I don't want to lose/reinstall to the media drive temporarily, then install windows on the SSD and finally wipe the current system/program drive and just put the programs that don't need to be on the SSD.

Edit; I apologize in advance if this is a repost, I've been searching all afternoon and couldn't find anywhere, anyone answering a similar question.

You can't move installed programs around from drive to drive and expect them to work.

    Your choices are:

1: Clone the existing Windows installation to the SSD.

2: Make an image of the existing Windows installation, store that image on some other drive, and then restore it to the SSD.

3: Do a clean install to the SSD.

You must reinstall all programs if you Clean Reinstall.
