Several Mysteries Help!
I have just transferred all my files to my new Windows 7 computer from my old Vista computer. With help from some of you, I seem to have everything transferred across. Now, I have some questions about a couple of things.
First, in Windows Live Mail. I have set up my wife's and my gmail accounts. We are receiving and sending emails without problems, except:
- When I send an email, nothing ever appears in the Sent folder. Likewise, when I delete an email, nothing appears in the Deleted folder. They just always remain empty. What is happening?
- When I tried to forward an email to my office computer, it did not go through. Yet when I sent myself a newly created email, it did. Why?
- When I tried to send an email with a file attachment (a photo) the email did not go out. Likewise, when I selected photos in Picasa and tried to send them via email from Picasa, they did not go out. What am I doing wrong?
- Finally, now, everytime I open Windows Live Mail, to check my emails, I get an error-message box telling me that the emails with attachments and the forwarded email did not go out. How do I cancel these emails so I did not get this error message for the rest of my life?
Second, I uploaded several photos and one video clip from my digital camera. I sent the photos to my Pictures folder and the video clip to my Video folder. I can see the photos in their folder; but, I cannot find the video clip. I thought I might not have uploaded it properly; so, I typed in the date of the upload in Search Programs and Files. Lo and behold, I find the video clip, and can play it, but I am not saavy enough to be able to tell where the file resides. So, I decided to copy the file and try to paste it into my Video folder. I can't. I get a message saying the it is already there. But, I can't see it there! Also, when I click on the Windows Media Player icon at the bottom of my desk top, I get a listing of all my other video clips I transferred from my old computer; but, I again, don't see the new one I uploaded from my camera. Where the heck is it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
