Reinstalling Windows 7: Drivers missing

    It might be until tomorrow when I put the download up. Only 33 percent after about 30 minutes.

    If he can determine the exact make/model of the missing wireless driver using Hardware Identification then it would only need to have the one driver uploaded for him to get online and get the rest of them.

    No, there is absolutely nothing. Only bluetooth drivers. I tried to connect by wire, but nothing happened. Windows didn't even notice it.

    Look in Device manager. Those detected devices will be cued up as missing drivers. The one you are looking for is network driver, wireless LAN, or similar.

    Click on it to open its Properties box and follow the link's procedure to translate it's exact make/model.

    "Network controller", but the make is unknown and they say something about a code 28 error.

    GOT IT. Found something about "NTPNP PCI0028". Does it help?

    Hi,

    Look underneath your laptop and post the exact model of your laptop - HP pavilion G6 is too generic. We can then find a download link for you for the driver. After that, you should be able to connect to the internet and then let Windows update do the rest for you.

    Please read the tutorial for how to identify from digits of the Hardware ID the make and model. Hardware Identification

    Please post up your full HP model number as well including any extension like HP Pavilion g6-1a52nr Notebook PC. This will be on the other sticker on bottom besides Win7 COA sticker.
