Damn.. I've got something like "PCI/VEN_1814&DEV_539F&CC_0280" too. Gonna google it.

Be careful - I would only download drivers directly from the HP site. The easiest & safest way is for you to post exactly the model of laptop.

I found nothing underneath my laptop. But I found this with google:

    "Ralink RT3592 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi Adapter PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3592&SUBSYS_1638103C"

I will continue my research from there.
    Thanks a lot everyone.

You are correct that is the device for that ID as confirmed by the PCI Vendor/Device list however when you go to HP Support Downloads webpage there are dozens of GV6 models.

You'll need to come up with the full model number which is always on the laptop case somewhere. Then go to HP Driver Downloads, put it in and find that driver in the list for your model. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

You can't always use just any old driver googled for that device. HP often modifies it.

Problem solved, got access to internet. The rest should be just fine. Thank you all so much. (By the way, I found the data under my battery, you are right.)
