Clean install not so clean

I have just reinstalled W7 clean twice in a row. After the first ocurrance, I thought it was a bad install and reinstalled clean again. I thought it might be quicker and easier than trying to locate the problem.

After automatically updating 83 updates in one sitting, Windows has twice decided it does not like the flavor of the updates and has spit them out. Before the updates completed and reboot, Windows ran fine. After the reboot, not so much. The computer seems to boot fine (with one exception), in that it boots and I even hear the Windows sound after it seems to have finished. However, I have no way of knowing it has finished because there is no display. Almost immediately after the Windows logo appears, it disappears and the screen stays black until I reboot forcefully.

According to NT Boot Log, these drivers fail to load; the log shows at least a dozen attempts for each driver. I have culled the ones that did load, but will upload the original for those that wish to see.

I did not install or uninstall anything, besides the Realtek wireless driver to do Windows updates with. Otherwise, no Windows components (besides automatic updates), drivers or 3rd party programs. Does Win7 update include an AMD 6300 graphics driver? If not, where did it come from? The driver that was included at install was generic and very poor.

No, the install is the 64bit iso, with SP1 included, from MS (Digital River download).

I would definitely try two things in this order. 1) Put the 7 disk back in, but instead of reinstalling a fresh copy, run the repair disk. If this leads to no avail, then try doing it again, but instead boot into the CMD prompt via the disk. Once in CMD, run "sfc /scannow" and let it finish. sfc /scannow retrieves the correct versions of files from %systemroot%\system32\Dllcache

Let us know what happens.

If the screen blacks out after loading it often means a TV tuner or other output is kicking in to TV, projector, etc. Did you previously have these settings? Is it outputted in BIOS only to VGA or DVI monitor?

Try reinstalling after wiping the HD with Diskpart Clean Command from DVD command line in case old boot code is interfering.

Then only install the network driver to get online, do the initial update that is required with reboot. Now look closely at the Updates both Important and Optional to see what drivers are given. Is a newer Display driver there? If not work through the Update in small groups as suggested to see what other drivers come in. If after all updates are installed there is still no Display driver besides Standard VGA then import it from the Toshiba Support Downloads webpage for your model.

Then post back screenshot of any other missing drivers in Device Manager.
