How about posting a screenshot of each of the main BIOS screens. I'm wondering if it may be issues with the drive itself, maybe there's a quick test that the BIOS can do on the drive.

Did you disable UEFI boot as shown in screenshot?

If so then what could be generating that message now is that you still have a GPT disk utilized with EFI installations rather than an MBR disk needed now without EFI.

To assure your disk is MBR, run the Clean command one more time followed by the command Convert MBR as shown in Option 2 in Convert GPT Disk to MBR Disk - Windows 7 Forums.

Then boot the installer to see if it will create and format a partition for you utilizing Custom install Drive Options as shown in Clean Install Windows 7 Steps 7-8.

If this fails, where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself?

Most everything I find in searches on that error code indicates bad installation media. As Greg asked, where did it come from? You may need to d/l and burn again if you made it yourself.

As shown in this tutorial on GPT disks, they are protected by "cyclic redundancy checks." Emdadblog-Blogger,Computer,Networking,Server and Windows tutorial: Deferences between Master Boot Record (MBR) and Globally Unique Identifier(GUID) Partition Table (GPT) Disk?

We recently encountered the error in Solved Windows 7 Ultimate Install, Can't make partitions - Windows 7 Forums when trying to convert a GPT disk to MBR and it proved to be a bad HD, so I would next test the HD with the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan, followed by Disk Check.

You are on the very cutting edge of our knowledge here since EFI BIOS' only recently began mass production. So this will be a learning experience for us, too, and found in searches for years via Google.

You can determine with certainty which the HD is by slaving it to a Win7 system to check in Disk Mgmt which option for conversion is available as shown in the section Examining Drive Configurations here: Using GPT Drives

If required you can also install 64 bit Win7 to a GPT drive by setting UEFI boot disk first to boot in BIOS setup and following these steps: UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums

As I suggested test your HD with the manufacturer's bootable extended CD scan followed by Disk Check from the installer Command Line. It may be failing.

Confirm for certain if it is an MBR or GPT disk as also shown. If it's GPT which won't convert consider the UEFI installation tutorial.

Sorry. I dragged the wrong thread from my history. Interesting how Google puts it at top of search results even though title doesn't reveal it's related. But there isn't a lot on the error and Cyclic Redundancy Check since it's such new turf.
