Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I think u can use SD cards as hard drives with a proper sata converter

INFO: Secure Digital SD SDHC MMC to SATA Adapter Converter - eBay

they do it now with CF cards, why not do it with an SD cards

I am going to build me a core 2 quad micro setup using one of those new

and I believe this adapter will work for my primary hard drive

As long as the Windows installers sees it as a sata drive that may work. But if seen as usb or firewire the setup will cancel on you. Just be prepared for a disappointment if some issue during installation comes up. This would happen if the 7 installer still sees the SD card as an external device.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit / Ubuntu 10.04

I purchased a Crucial SSD two weeks ago, just a 64GB for my notebook. The difference in overall performance is absolutely astonishing. Battery life slightly better but the two main things that concerned me are now taken care of; heat and speed.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

That must have set you back a little! I'm waiting for the prices to drop on something like the OCZ 1tb model seen at - OCZ Colossus Series OCZSSD2-1CLS1T 3.5" 1TB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - Solid State Disks

For that price I could build about 2-4 good custom cases unfortunately! "egads! downpayment on new car!"
