Folder opening (left panel) in explorer => all is going to the bottom

    Hello everybody,

I'm here to explain a very irritating stuff in the W7 File Explorer.

When you double clic on a folder in the left panel to see the childrens, since windows 95, this folder opens and you see the under folders.

In W7, when I double clic on a folder, the elevator is moving and the clicked folder is moved to the complete bottom of the window.

That means that I don't see the childrens and I need to scroll to get the folder back to top or middle, where I got my mouse.

Sorry for my explanations but I'm a french user so, I try to explain the better I can.

This problem appears on 5 other computers under W7.

Thanks a lot if you have found the parameter to change this comportement.

    Nobody have noticed that ?

You may test that it's very easy ... open an explorer, double clic on a folder in the left panel .. you'll see.

    Welcome to the forum,

Are you looking for something like this,

Navigation Pane - Automatically expand to current folder

If not, can you post a screenshot to show what you are talking about,

You have quite a few items showing,

I'm not sure if this helps since you have to scroll no matter what.

Navigation Pane - Show All Folders

I wasn't suggesting you get rid of them, you could collapse them though.
