Installing windows xp

    Thanks i will do that, once i do that do i have to boot it up or just go through computer then use it that way.

    If you get XP installed succesfully, it will reboot and you should have a screen for you to select the Operating System, Windows 7 or XP. For more info on this you can look in the Tutorials section.
    But let's try to get it to work first. Let us know how it goes.

    Is your copy of xp in an ISO format or are the files burned singly on a disc??

    ISO. but when i open up the disk its not just one iso its folders and files etc.

    Paul, if it is ISO, you would have only one big file named xxxxxx.iso.
    Do you have for example setup.exe in the DVD? If so, you have the expanded disc. By the way, is this the original installation disc? If so it is most certainly the expanded. In that case you need to copy all contents to the hard drive partition and install from there.

    ye well i thought it was the iso format but theres all different files and folders in there so it must be the expanded version and yes the setup file is in there, ill copy them all over now.

    right all of the files are on the partition do i boot it up with the disk in aswell?
