    Create ACER Factory Default Disk

I have an ACER Aspire 5733z-1204 64bit with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Attempting to Create Factory Default Disk to

    (D) HL-DT-St DVDRAM GTSIN

I formatted 3 Sony DVD-RW disks using the Windows 7 feature (Live File System Format)

It doesn't seem to recognize the DVD-RW disk and keeps telling me to insert a blank disk.

Does this mean that I need DVDRAM?

    Thanks for any help.

I would not use DVD RW disks anyway since I believe they have poorer long term reliablity. These are disks you want to stash away and not reuse.

Also I recommend people use free Macrium Reflect to image their recovery partition and store it on an external HDD. You can then replace it to your existing HDD drive if the partition gets corrupted or to a new HDD.
