Yeah I'd missed the integrated part. I think the same principle applies as with HD's, but instead of unplugging any other HD's you'd disable the other SSD in BIOS setup which is what we have users do when the HD is inaccessible like in a....laptop!

So this might be the variable involved here. You can disable the 32gb to see if that helps. What do you plan to use it for anyway?

As soon as you get online I would also post up asap a screenshot of your maximized Disk Mgmt drive map and listings showing all columns, using SNipping TOol in Start Menu. If 32bit is still enabled your boot files may land on it even if you choose the other SSD for install. It happens a lot, and can be trouble. But we know how to fix it.

Well the strange thing is that I disabled the 32 GB this 2nd time I tried installing Windows the same way I did the first time, but instead of installing it gave me that error. Then suddenly when I was going back to attempt to install it so that the error could pop up and I could write it down to include in my response to you - it started installing. I have no idea why it worked just now and not the 20x times right before now when I was doing the same exact thing.

I find it odd that only 55% of the space is Free. This is a brand new SSD. There's no way Windows takes up 26 GB.

I thought you were using a USB flash stick. Did you format the entire 50 gb USB external HD to use as the Win7 installer? This rarely works well. It also shows a lot more content than the 3gb of installer files.

You don't have a DVD drive or flash stick to use?

Enable 32 gb in BIOS to see if it will format Logical for data if that's what you want, so that a primary can't accidentally derail the boot files. Use Partition Wizard Create Partition - Video Help.

I posted a screenshot. It's at the bottom of page 7. I was using a USB flash drive. My USB flash drive is 64 GB and my SSD drive is 60 GB.

That's what I'm asking you about, the 60gb USB drive connected showing as Disk2.

Was this connected during install?

I just selected the USB when the Windows 7 USB/DVD ISO installer asked and it formatted the USB on its own. I didn't manually format. As far as the extra content - there are over 1GB of drivers that I put on the USB. And yes, the USB was connected the entire time. After I finish getting all the drivers on the ultrabook, I'll try that thing you suggested with the integrated SSD.

This is not correct. I told you to unplug or disable all other drives except the target SSD and the installer flash stick. I also stated that you don't need to insert any drivers in the WIn7 installer which has all modern HD drivers.

What do you mean you formatted the USB from the installer? You are to boot the flash stick installer and create/format partition for install on the target SSD only. No other drives plugged whatsoever.

We're having a miscommunication. The USB flash drive IS the installer flash stick. Aside from the USB flash drive/installer flash stick and the target SSD - nothing else was connected.
