Sorry I had to reboot this computer.
Do you have one of these VGA ports on the computer & a cable that can connect it to the monitor ? Without using your GPU card.
I guess this is your MB ?
Does not look like it has on-board video VGA
Do you have any other video cards that will fit in your motherboard ?

No, this is the first proper computer that I have bought, following a few laptops that don't have salvageable parts that would be of assistance. Would it be worth taking my computer to the shop for them to put in a video card that might be compatible and installing Windows there? I am desperate for it to work, I am so sick of XP.Do you have any other video cards that will fit in your motherboard ?
Do you know anybody that might have an old PCI video card ?
Insert it in 1 of the 3 white PCI slots. Then try install yourself again.
I hate to see you have to take it to a shop.
I have done 2 different installs today without any problems.
Are you installing on a empty HD or a second partition to the XP ?
I'm wanting to clean install it.Are you installing on a empty HD or a second partition to the XP ?
Did you see my build I did this afternoon, while we have been working on yours.
New TechNet RTM 7600 Install
Is this your only computer with XP on it ? or is it a new computer that you are trying to put win7 on ?
I have had this computer since the beginning of the year running XP SP3, an upgrade from my previous Dell that was running XP HE SP2. If that was the answer you were after?
I just re-read all the posts here. Are you sure the DVD you burned is good, without errors.. Sometimes a burn at 4x works best. What build # of win7 is this DVD that you are trying to install ?
7600.
