it even stopped detecting hard disk all of a sudden! SATA mode selection is AHCI. should it be IDE or RAID?

Best to try AHCI first, then IDE if it fails.

You said you wanted to try Legacy mode now, correct?

Are you sure you're installing in Legacy (non-EFI) mode to an MBR disk? Again, this requires enabling Legacy mode and/or removing EFI Boot Disks from BIOS boot order.

Wipe the disk with Diskpart Clean Command first.

Can't see much. Looks like your WDC HD and DVD drive are Disabled there.

Do you see a BIOS Legacy Mode, or BIOS Boot order? Is there an EFI Boot DIsk in the boot order? Remove it.

Test your HD using maker's HD Diagnostic followed by Disk Check - if necessary formatting a full disk partition using Step 2.2 here: SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

First image shows 2TB hard disk. second one in advanced mode shows 0 MB for same. I don't understand how this can happen. I set all CSM filters as Legacy only.
