    Service Setup on Win7 Installation


    Hi,
    Just like you ca slipstream windows updates is there a way to pre-configure windows services - either to disable or sc delete?

    Yes you can slipstream updates into an SP1 installer using 7 Lite.

    Win7 does not require or tolerate Service edits as it already has all Services not needed at boot set to Manual on fast triggers. Experimentation we did with this all during beta proved there is absolutely no performance gain to be had and essentially no fat to trim.

    Thanks Greg, I really want to be able to control this at startup to pre load / or delete services.. Any point in the right direction..

    Even if I understood what you wanted to do, why would you expect someone to help you when you insult him?

    I can barely get through all of the open cases where I'm actively helping others and don't have time for jerks.

    Ask nicely and someone may help you if you pose the question intelligibly.
