Sysprep Fatal Error caused by "wevtapi.dll"

Like the title says. I simply want to set my hard drive to OOBE so that I can install it on my new computer set up, but sysprep has a problem with wevtapi.dll . Here is the error log:

    Code:
    2012-09-12 22:20:34, Error [0x0f0082] SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing 'C:\Windows\System32\wevtapi.dll,EvtIntSysprepCleanup', returned error code 1717[gle=0x000006b5]
2012-09-12 22:20:34, Error [0x0f0070] SYSPRP RunExternalDlls:An error occurred while running registry sysprep DLLs, halting sysprep execution. dwRet = 1717[gle=0x000006b5]
2012-09-12 22:20:34, Error [0x0f00a8] SYSPRP WinMain:Hit failure while processing sysprep cleanup providers; hr = 0x800706b5[gle=0x000006b5]
I do have the full log, so if you think it will help, just tell me and I'll upload it. I have also tried download wevtapi.dll from the net and replacing the original, but that results in instant failure. Also I looked for what process was using wevtapi.dll but I couldn't find anything. So please, if anyone has a solution, I'm dying to use my new computer set up! Thanks!

    *bump*
(FYI) I have tried sfc.exe /SCANNOW and it reported no errors.
If anyone has another way to get my system to OOBE or running on a different motherboard (even complicated ones) it would be greatly appreciated.
