    Dual monitor not working

I'm on a Sony Vaio laptop with a second monitor connected with a VGA cable. I just switched from Vista to Windows 7 and my second 22" monitor is not being recognized under the resolution screen. It worked perfectly fine on vista just hours prior. I tried hitting the detect button, reconnecting the monitor, and restarting. What am i doing wrong?

It might be my graphics card, im pretty sure i have a nvidia geforce 7200m gt. cant seem to find drivers for it anywhere. My computer keeps telling me all my drivers are up to date, yet my second monitor is still not recognized....... this doesn't make sense. Should i just go back to vista?

    Go here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
    Click option 2, (auto detect)
This should find the right driver, and allow you to download them.
Please post back results, and fill in your system specs

    Option 2:

The manufacturer of this system requires that you download the driver for your GPU from their support site.

    I'm on a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ460E
    Intel core 2 duo cpu
    2 gigs ram
    Windows 7 32bit

here's the link to Sony driver updates:
    http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu...GNFZ460E&LOC=3

I don't see any drivers for my graphics.

When i bring up device manager, under display adapters it says "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." When i was on vista it said Geforce 7200M GT. I also have an unknown device in device manager that i think may be my graphics card.

I appreciate your assistance thus far.

Did you restart with the monitor plugged in?

And did you try toggling between monitors using FNC F(whatever) button?

I didn't try the toggle function. I'm at school right now, but i will try that when i get home. But another thing, when i installed the zune software on my comp it said it could not access graphics acceleration. When i was on vista it did it with no problems. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a graphics driver or Windows 7 is not compatible with my card/laptop.

Oh yeah and i tried restarting without it plugged in and with it plugged in. I even swapped out VGA cables. Then i tried to use a HDMI cable. No dice.
