We still don't know why you want to run the Repair Install, whether it rolled back or fails to start now.
If it won't start which of the steps have you completed for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot?
Do you have the latest installer and are your files backed up.
Now i can give you detail of my whole task that i have hp nc6400 32 bit system which is run normal but settings are changed and system is too heavy so i want to refresh my windows 7 sp1.
For that purpose i insert usb(bootable windows 7 sp1) and start setup in windows and follow steps to upgrade. After checking prerequisite data windows extract data during that the error occurred and message shows sys restart installation or reboot so i reboot the system when window setup enter it shows the error 0xc000000f as mention my former post.
when i choose to enter through previous windows then there is take place same file in e partition but windows actually exist in C partition.
So now suggest me what i have to do?
What do you mean "enter through previous windows?" Is this a Dual Boot? Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Mgmt drive map with listings, using Snipping Tool in Start Menu: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums - Windows 7 Forums
Try establishing a Clean Boot, searching for Problem solutions and resolving errors in logs before running the Repair Install: Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
The problem surely lies in the enormous load of crapware and duplicate utilities HP lards onto Win7 which corrupts it from the start. This is why most tech enthusiasts Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 or at a minimum Clean Up Factory Bloatware.
If you're afraid of Clean Reinstall you could even run HP Factory Recovery to see if it offers Minimized Recovery without much of bloatware, then afterwards either way Clean Up Bloatware.
No its not dual boot but after restart there is two options
Windows 7 setup
Windows 7(as Previous before upgrading)
Setup is likely your installer or an attempt to roll back Repair Install.
Have you tried selecting each choice? Can you now boot into Win7?
For Repair Install installer should be run from desktop in Win7 if you can get there.
Without repair install i can only reach windows through windows 7(choice 2)
but choice one proceed the same error,
after repair the situation same as above
