Windows 7 upgrade questions
Hey everyone.
Firstly, I'd like to say that I have read a few topics on these forums on the matter, and I'm still a little bit confused on how the upgrade process is going to work for my situation and would appreciate any advice and help I could get for this strange upgrade process. So I guess I'll start by explaining the situation.
I have a notebook computer that originally shipped with a 32-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium edition, and I still have the OS installation disc that came with the computer. However, since January, I have been running Windows 7 on this computer, and I have the 7100 build (I believe it's the release candidate?) currently installed on this computer right now. It's the one I'm using to write this post on. It's the 32-bit edition, as well.
Very fortunately, I have experienced no problems with the OS and today, I pre-ordered the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade from the win741.com site. This is where I start getting really confused. Basically, whenever Windows 7 officially releases, I would very much like to do a clean install of the final version of Windows 7 Home Premium. I don't want to do the "upgrade" process where I keep my old files and install Windows 7 over another OS. I've got almost all of those backed up right now. I would much rather have a nice, clean OS to boot into without having all the 7 RC files or Vista system files hidden away somewhere on the drive.
So my question is basically "What are my options to do a clean install of 7 through the upgrade disc?"
