Factory Reset Disk for HP
Hello,
On my HP Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit I have been having troubles booting it saying Bootmgr is missing ect. Since I already have everything backed up I wish to factory restore the computer. But since I can't boot the computer because of these errors I need a disk, and my computer came with none. The only thing I can load atm is Windows 7 recovery disk, but it has no options to fully factory reset. If anyone can help me find a download to a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit factory reset disc I can burn on my blank disc, I would be very much obliged. Update: I tried to use the HP website but I couldn't find any disk. |

Hello 121699, welcome to Sven Forums.
With the PC off, start the PC and immeditaly start tapping the F11 key to get the the HP factory recovery manager, that should work for you to reset the factory. |

121699,
If you like, you could use the tutorial below to do a clean install of your factory OEM Windows 7, but you will no longer have any of the other software that came bundled with the computer. It includes steps on how to download a Windows 7 ISO to use to create a bootable installation DVD/USB to install Window 7 with. Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7If you need the bundled software, and/or would like to order a replacment set of recovery discs from HP, then the link below from HP can help show you how to. You'll just need to scroll down a bit until your see the "Ordering recovery disc....." sections. HP PCs - Looking for Recovery Discs? - bph07143 - HP Business Support Center |

Confirm the ISO is intact and complete or download another, then burn to DVD using ImgBurn - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com at 4x speed: How to create a Windows Vista / 7 installation disc (bootable) using ImgBurn - Guides - ImgBurn Support Forum
Or write to flash stick alternatively using Universal USB Installer with Win7 in dropdown menu. |

I have downloaded the ImgBurn software, and inserted my disk. After a couple minutes on the bottom bar it says:
Device not ready (The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.) The "Universal USB Installer" confuses me. I already have a USB installed with the ISO file, using the file you gave on your guide. However, when finished it says it didn't install the material required to open on the computers boot. |
