Use this program to delete the extra entry. It's very easy to use. When I added XP to my Windows Seven machine I used it to fix up the boot menu. It's a no brainer:

edit: this started out as freeware. Then I thought I saw them charging like $8 for it. If this download turns out to be a paid version you can probably get the last free version on one of those OldVersion web sites.
