You did do a superb job getting your system back. I think I'd take it one step further by making an image of your now "original" machine, make an image of it for reinstall in case it's ever needed, and then do a clean reinstall. At that point you can add back whatever Acer software you though might do a better job than Windows' built in tools, or whatever Acer software might be required for hardware functionality.

But that's totally up to you, of course. Everyone's different. So if you've got what you want, you're good to go!
