Windows 7: Installing Windows 7 problem

I also want to add this to the solutions for installing windows 7, it happened to me, I would get all the way up to the splash screen for the win7 before you get windows install button. However, I didn't have a floppy in the computer(no one does anymore) though it was enabled in the bios and apparently the installer was looking for the floppy and just hangs, so disable it in bios and you will come up with no problems.

I'm sorry but couldn't gather much info about my pc yet, but not so long ago I found a number of a guy who sold me this comp 2 years ago. Since it's night time I won't call him now. Tomorrow, after I had called him, I'll update the info.

Windows 7 x64 finally!

Unsafe, let's start by updating your BIOS (MSI Global – Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more) and your drivers (MSI Global – Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more).

I see your board has a nifty driver / BIOS updte program (" Live Update 4 is a single utility software that automatically checks BIOS, driver and utility updates and installs for you , which can save your time for searching and lower the risk while updating." ). Look for it in your applications or download it: MSI Global – Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

I am worred bout a couple of things. There is remark on your board's page that says:
MSI Reminds you :
Because of the limitations of chipset, this MB does not support Win98/ME.

Instead of downloaig the chipset (Nvidia nForce 570) from MSI's site, try going to NVidia's site and have it recgonize and update your chipset drivers. Their site does a good job on that. They do list drivers for Win 7 32 and 64bits

Let us know how you progress

Okay I updater my drivers(first) and then my BIOS with this program from the link you gave me http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6666/wibndodsf.jpg
But I think I mightave messed up the BIOs update part cause I have a new pic(of MSI) when my pc loads, it says below - press Del (and some other button) to get a bios install screen or whatever, I don't understand.
And the program also doesn't show that my drivers/bios is up to date before and after I installed them.

And I don't understand what you mean here:

1. Flashing the BIOS is not recommended unless you know exactly WHAT you are doing...
If it boots then LEAVE IT ALONE.
2. in BIOS turn of Bios shadow allowed. recommend for installationof Win 7 or any new OS.(If your not sure then FORGET THIS> makes it harder to do by can be done.
3. make sure you have a FORMATTED PARTITION that is named and labled.
( d:\ Volume-2 ) or what ever.
4. F2 at the logo sign, change the BIOS to allow DVD or USB drive the first allowed Boot Drive. if you have a DVD.
5. Make sure the ISO is bootable... many are not. (you can download and use to open your ISO. - UltraISO... when you open the ISO see if it says BOOTABLE UDF.)
YES your good to go. NO your scewed. It simply will not work. to make a CLEAN INSTALL.
==================================
question 1.
Do you have a clean partition - formatted and ready for Win 7?
question2.
Is your Win7 ISO bootable or not?

You're good, that message means you have to press del to enter the BIOS setup screen, which is a normal behavior. As Snuffy said, it is updated and working, no worries.

Go to www.nvidia.com, click download drivers, then Option 2 (Automatically find drivers for my NVIDIA products.). It should tell you if it is updted or not.
