Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Hello i am new to windows 7. i just bought the computer i am using now from someone on the internet. i would like to delete all of his files and do a complete computer wipe. But i do not own any dvd-roms and i have tried other things but they dont work, eg pressing esc at boot screen. it is very frustrating.

       Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

Pressing the f11 key during startup on a computer with an HP factory image will start the system recovery process even if the prompt is not displayed.

    Give this a look:

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

If you have a good COA (certificate of authenticity) on the PC, the above tells you how to get Win7 installation media and do a clean install.

It's intended for getting rid of the dubious stuff that PC manufacturers load on their PCs, but it'd serve as well for eliminating everything from a prior owner.

There are two options which incorporate the good suggestions which have already been made:

    1) Run HP System Recovery from it's partition at boot, if you want the preinstalled factory programs and bloatware which can be the very worst on HP's. But check if there is a Minimal Recovery choice on that HP once you boot into Recovery.

If you run Recovery you can mitigate some of the bad effects which throttle Win7 using Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

    2) As suggested follow the steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which include everything you need, including Special Notes for HP owners.

Ask back any questions to help decide, or as you go.
