Thanks Greg I was beginning to wonder what was required as luckyguy first wanted an upgrade?
Windows 7 is an Upgrade from Windows 8.
Thanks again, this method is flawless, I have come back here a number of times and "upgraded" to win 7 on a number of client computers, typically once I find an wireless driver the rest is history, some say you should get the drivers prior to formatting but that removes all the stress and urgency !!!!
Mmm jxker mate wait until you hit a new Asus ROG laptop then the fun really begins - just a heads up I have just bought one and to get any drivers for 7 you will need to update the BIOS before you can do anything much except the wifi which is 7 & 8 - good old Asus wouldn't swap them for quids
Hi guys,
Here's my question. I've got a small Laptop, Asus F200CA-KX090H and a small problem with Win 7 instalation.
I've tried to do it by disabling Fast boot, Secure Boot Control and Enabling CSM.
When I try to install Win at partition setting I get error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk..." because of the GPT partition.
Maybe it's a long way, but could I use this method to install it?
Thanks.
Are you booting the installation media as a UEFI device? If UEFI boot choices are not present you can try disabling CSM to see if they appear if you're sure you have a good installation DVD or have formatted the flash stick correctly for UEFI.
If flash media is formatted using only Option One for UEFI to GPT disk in UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows ?
Thank you, I was just thinking about going through that guide which you have posted.
Interesting fact is that I have 7 stock partitions created..
Just to let you know, I managed to install it after formatting.
Thanks m8!
