I don't think it would get that far if the problem is the Legacy settings. Have you tried a UEFI install? UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums.

Try another installer. In fact make sure you tick off everything in the list I gave in Post 42 without missing anything. Those steps solve 90% of install issues.

But it seems you do get installed before problems start, so I would test the hardware from Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7. If you have another HD try that also.

I have chosen the Legacy but I have not downgraded it? is that something I need to do ?

The first boot option is: P0 TSST CDDVDW SH-224DB and there is not Windows Boot Manager...

@ SIW2, I changed boot selection mode to Legacy only, still have same result.
Try with SSD as first boot device.

I tried the SSD with first boot device and keeps looping, doesn't even get into Windows logo, just screen goes blank then goes back to POST screen and repeats.

I'm doing another install now, the same way I have done it before, it installs, gets into desktop then restarts then problems.

If you were following the steps in Post 42 you would not have both HD's plugged in since in the very first step it says to unplug all other HD's. Power down to unplug the other HD now.

Have you tried the new installer for your licensed version that is provided in the steps too? Done the Diskpart commands to Clean and then create your Active partition?

But since then I suggested that you try a UEFI install which would establish whether it's something with the BIOS settings which are affecting post-install, since I doubt it. I think you have hardware difficulties, but it's not easy to say for sure when you're not following the steps so we can eliminate those possibilities.

Sorry, totally missed the HD, will do that now.

Yes I have done the diskpart commands, clean and made it active.

HD Removed, Diskpart commands done, clean and made active. This is what I get.

*EDIT* - Yep, its still doing it. Going to try UEFI now, see what this does.
