It should be in the root of C.

You may need to install in IDE mode for XP to function, which will mess up Win7 if it's installed in AHCI. I don't know if you can reverse Change IDE to AHCI in BIOS - Much better performance - Windows 7 Forums

You should be able to find the LAN driver by googling the device make/model for an XP driver, if necessary tracing the Hardware Identification

Another option is to sort it further doing an XP Repair Install since at this point it's experimental anyway.

Gregg, I think everything is sorted down to the LAN. I do have a question for you though. I've been running paragon in the automatic mode. If I ran it in the manual mode would it tell me what it needs? If it needs to run in IDE then it's a no go because that would defeat the performance of the SSD and although it wouldn't bother me if it was my computer (I'd just change the settings depending on what OS I wanted to run, My friend would find it difficult.) Again, Gregg, thanks for all of your help so far. This probably isn't going to work out but I just can't give up on problems like these until I find a solution. :)

Look in C drive, no further.

Well, I never give up....NEVER!! I finally found the drivers needed for XP home to work in AHCI. I got them from this zip file http://downloadmirror.intel.com/2077...inst_autol.zip. I haven't yet tried incorporating them into an XP home installation disc, but they were the ones I used with Paragon visualization manager after imaging my OS from my old computer. Using the P2P option to fit an old OS onto a new system. XP booted up in AHCI and then I installed the rest of the drivers from the MoB Disc. Thanks again to all who tried to help me, you actually did give me a lot of info that got me thinking in the right direction. Also I hope that this can help others working with the z77 chipset.
