How do I use a Toshiba Windows Recovery Environment CD?. Help please

    Hi,

I am recovering right now a Toshiba Laptop C655-55503 Windows 7 using 4 Recovery CDs that comes with. I am just running the 4th recovery CD to finish but, with the CD´s is coming also a 5th CD named “Toshiba C655-55503 Windows Recovery Entironment”. My question is, how do I have use this 5th recovery environment CD after finishing the recovering process? Thanks

Does it ask you to put in disc 5 ? It could be just drivers and other software.

    Not sure ? Call Toshiba.

If it finishes without the disk then put the disk in the drive, post back a screenshot of its contents using the Snipping tool in Start menu. Expand any major folders so we can see inside.

You also want to get your drivers from the Toshiba Support Downloads webpage for your exact model, as if it's a driver disk it is outdated almost as soon as its pressed.

In addition you're reinstalling all of the corrupting crapware which comes preinstalled on the PC, so I'd at the minimum Clean Up Factory Bloatware to improve performance, or instead do the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

    Thanks to addRAM and gregrocker,

Thanks for the adivices. After the 4th CD Setup finished, System started and made its configuration step by step. Once checked everything was configured and working correct, (all drivers in, connection with Internet, sound, etc, etc) Following gregrocker´s advice, I contacted the Spport and they told me not to use the 5th CD if here everything was working correct.

    Once more thanks,
