depends on what version of 7600 you have purchased. 7100 (RC) was ultimate, if you got any other version you will have to clean install. Microsoft and most of us dont recommend upgrading. clean install is better

Many things can go wrong with update. Make a clean install and save yourself some headbanging .

@ Urbwolf,

Yes clean installs are probably the best.

But, if you are a little on the adventurous side, upgrades can work

I have done numerous, since before & after the Beta build 7000

Use the Windows Easy Transfer as a second option

I just did RC 7201 Ultimate to TechNet RTM Ultimate 7600

Can I install Icon Packs designed for Build 7600 to Build 7601? An Icon Pack was saying install on to 7600 only and after I checked my regedit, I learned that I have 7601 (Probably SP1, I don't know). Would I have any problems if I install the icon pack? Thanks.
