    updating build


    Can i update from rc build 7100 to the newest build without loosing anything?

    depends on what version of 7600 you have purchased. 7100 (RC) was ultimate, if you got any other version you will have to clean install. Microsoft and most of us dont recommend upgrading. clean install is better

    Many things can go wrong with update. Make a clean install and save yourself some headbanging :).

    Well supposedly if its true I get the free copy of windows 7 ultimate signiture edition with my house party kit I was chosen for for the windows 7 release party's.. But i wont believe anything till i actually get it

    Yes clean installs are probably the best. :)

    But, if you are a little on the adventurous side, upgrades can work

    I have done numerous, since before & after the Beta build 7000

    Use the Windows Easy Transfer as a second option

    I just did RC 7201 Ultimate to TechNet RTM Ultimate 7600
