URGENT.Windows 7 install freeze recovery partition and bootable usb

    Hi eveyone!

I.know some of you may say that there are other posts that have solved this
But my case is particularly different..

My windows froze and crashed this morning.I have a sony vaio eb series laptop core i34gb ram
320hdd... Ive done a number of things:

    Tried system restore.didnt work

    Tried startup repair...didnt work either.

Tried system recovery but halfway through the formatting it got an error and stopped working.

But it did format my hdd and now i have no windows. And now when i press the f10 key
Which is supposed to take me to vaio recovery, The vaio recovery doesnt load but instead the windows recovery loads files, goes to the windows 7 bootscreen stays there for a while, and finally when i lt moves on it stops at a BLACK SCREEN WITH A CURSOR. Thats it. I have no windows anymore.. F8 wont work anymore. I tried installing through a bootable usb but the same thing happens with that too.. Tried installing xp but it crashes while setup loads.

So now i have no windows
    A formatted hdd
    F8 key doesnt work
F10 loads windows files boots windows and gets stuck at a black screen with a cursor...

    PLEASE HELP! THANKS!

What formatted your HDD? Is it even detected in BIOS setup, or running the maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan?

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals,

Boot into BIOS setup by tapping the key given on first screen, check if HD is detected. Then look for a setting to enable Legacy BIOS if present. Next check BIOS Boot order for an EFI Boot Disk and if present remove it, set DVD drive first to boot, HD second. Then set SATA controller to AHCI. Save changes and Exit.

Then boot into installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here.

At first installer screen Press Shift + F10 to open a Command Box, type:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
    CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired)
    FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
    ACTIVE
    EXIT
    EXIT

Next click Install Now to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.

Hd Is detected but i have no option to change its type to ahci... I cant do anything other than changing time and date, boot order and a couple other things... But hD is detected.. I can even start the recovery from the hd but its stops at the black screen same thing when.i boot it from usb... I never see a installation screen so i have no chance for shift +F10... Ive even tried f8 which works when i plug the usb amd boot from.it... If i keep pressing f8 then ibget the options for safe mode... But even safe mode after loading drivers goes to the samw black screen with cursor...

    Im sooo lost.

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

I guess i didnt mention earlier, none of the makers diagnostics software will run. F10 is aupposed to take me to VAIO recovery center except that it gets stuck after loading files..so i cant run any diagnostifs... I cant run anything... Even if i try to run windows setup frkm an external source same thing happens. Just doesnt make sense

Which HD Diagnostic disk are you trying to boot? How did you burn it to CD?

Where did you get the Win7 installation DVD and how was it burned?

90% of failures to boot a disk are user error. How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD

Next try tapping the F12 key at boot to get a BIOS Boot Menu, select DVD drive to boot. Do you get a prompt to "Press any Key to boot disk?" If not the disk is not burned correctly using Windows Image Burner or ImgBurn.
