You most often need to sysprep Win7 on original hardware before moving it to new hardware: SysPrep to move HD to another computer

What was the SATA controller setting and was there EFI BIOS on the problem PC?

What are the results of HD diagnostics and Disk Check run from installer's Command Line?

You need RAM precisely spec'd for your specific PC before using it. To do this google the PC make/model + memory upgrade to see what choices are presented, compare them by running Crucial System Scanner software to find out what type of memory is in your computer.

Then change to the Google Shopping view to compare prices and availability for ordering your exact specified RAM, or go to the parts counter at a store like Tiger Direct, CompUSA or MicroCenter where they will spec it for you, sell it for a decent price, then be able to replace easier it if it doesn't work.

Until then remove the RAM you moved from another PC without spec'ing it first.

If there is any question about the exact specs, post back here for help.

Then do extended 6-8 passes or overnight tests of RAM - Test with Memtest86+ testing sticks and slots to isolate the problem RAM or slot.

Is this the same exact model mobo for both?
