    Dual boot on SSD partitions?

I looked for info on this, but nothing popped up that directly addressed the question. Please point me to relevant topics if you know them.

I have win 7 booting from a 256GB SSD. All data is elsewhere, so there is a lot of room on this drive. Are there any problems with creating a partition on the SSD to install Win 8 on? I have read tutorials on how to set up a dual-boot 7/8 system. They generally state that Win 8 should go onto a separate drive. Wouldn't a separate partition work just as well?

    Thanks.

I see no reason why you could not dual boot 7/8 on your SSD: Dual Boot Installation - Windows 8 and Windows 7 or Vista - Windows 8 Forums

Keep in mind you'll want the installer ISO burned to DVD or written to flash stick to boot to install. You'll also need a separate license if you plan to keep both since Win8 Upgrade is premised on not using Win7 if it's used to qualify for upgrade.

Thanks. I couldn't see why it wouldn't work, but it never hurts to ask for opinions.

I have my OSes installed onto SSDs. W7 and Windows 8 are installed on a 120GB SSD partitioned equally into 60GB partitions, and Vista is installed onto a separate 60GB SSD.
