64 Bit programs in 64 bit Windows 7

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum section but here it goes, i have a problem with windows and i can not instal ANYTHING. I have never heard of this happening to anyone before but i am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit. I get this error when trying to instal anything at all "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running..."

I just reformatted my computer and found out that i have lost my ASUS motherboard support disc so i have no drivers installed. Could this be the problem?

Also, if i right click on the .exe and run as administrator i get this error. "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\Myusername\desktop\ccsetup325.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

The exe is CCleaner downloaded the latest version.
The programs i am trying to install are 64 bit versions..

Can you verify that the 64 bit version of Windows 7 is actually installed?

Where did you get WIn7? How is it activated?

Run a full scan with Malwarebytes.

    Then run SFC /SCANNOW Command

Then if necessary work through these other Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7

I brought Win7 on release and it is installed, verified that it is 64 bit. How do i run malwarebytes without installing? Is there a portable version?

Try installing drivers and running scan in Safe Mode if possible.

If not run the bootable AV scan and work through rest of the the steps in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start

Can't install drivers, can't install anything. I think i might take out the hard drive plug it into another computer and do a format then install Windows 8.

Thanks for all the help :)

You can boot the WIn7 installer to Clean Reinstall - steps the same for retail.
