SSD unusable after deleting windows 7

    Hey,

Yesterday I bought Windows 8 after getting my brand new Intel 120 GB SSD. I purchased and downloaded the Windows 8 Pro upgrade, and I made the download program install it on my USB stick so I could boot from there.

As soon as I started installing, I picked my new SSD as OS-disk, instead of the 500 GB HDD I used for Windows 7. After the installation was done, I found out that Windows 7 was still bootable.

I read a guide on overclock.net saying that I could prevent my SSD from being cluttered with files, so I followed the guide and tried to make my "Users" folder being run from the 500 GB HDD. After following the guide, I tried to log into my account and it said "User Account Service unavailable", and I was unable to login. I read abotu it on the internet and they said a reinstall was the only possibility.

After re-installing it, everything worked again. I tried to delete the "Windows" folder on my old 500 GB HDD, which wasn't possible. I used EaseUS Partition Manager to format the whole drive, after backing it all up. Then I tried to start my PC again, but it keeps saying the following:
"Reboot and Select proper Boot device,
or Insert Boot Media in selected BOot device and press a key".
Seeing this, I thought I'd do a good job formatting my SSD and trying to re-install Windows 8. I tried this, but it totally didn't work out. It keeps saying the SSD is locked or something, and I can't use it to install Windows on.
    The message that appears:
"You can't create a new systempartition and there's no existing system partition found. See setup logfiles for more info". (Translated from Dutch)
I have no idea where to locate those logfiles, and I'm pretty lost.

I have 3 physical drives, a 500 GB HDD, 2TB HDD and a 120 GB SSD, and the 2TB and the 120 GB one say "Primary", while the 500 GB says "Logical", and I don't really understand this.

Anyone who can help me so I can use my PC again?

Hello Cyberuben mate have you tried setting the SSD as the first boot device in the BIOS? If you have then maybe the 8 install is corrupt.

Unplug the drives except the SSD and try a boot and if it does boot try - sfc /scannow.

    >Start type sfc /scannow and right click on it and run as admin it will pick up any problems - normally.

The other option is to wipe the drive and start from scratch.

Let us know how this goes.

I think he hosed his whole system, and he wont be running any program from it.
You may need to get a copy of Partition magic or some other free program like it that can be run from usb/cdrom to re-partition your SSD.

Well he might have done symp but I think a try with DISKPART is worth a try to se if it is bricked or not.

Cyber try this if at step two you don't get it listed then it is gone mate.

Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command

If it is listed then you can "refresh" it with SSD Alignment < you should always set up SSD's with this I do spinners too but that is just me.

Unplug the HDD, wipe the SSD with Diskpart Clean Command then follow these steps to Clean Install with Windows 8 Upgrade.

Afterwards power down to plug back in HDD, right click each User folder (Docs, Pics, Music, etc) on HDD to add it to related Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums.

You can also move those User folders to SSD if you have enough space, or shrink C on the HDD to move them to a new dedicated data partition. Later when ready you can then delete C on the HDD which is the correct way to uninstall an OS.
