    Installation stuck in loop

    Hi,

I'm trying to install W7. I've tried a full format and once it saves files and reboots it doesn't continue further it just starts from the beginning again. The HD has come from another PC that was working.

    Where can I start?

Remove the DVD, before the PC reboots.

You can`t take the disc out until windows is done installing.

Is the boot order set correctly ? 1st) DVD drive 2nd) Hard Drive

or set the hard drive 1st and just use the 1 time boot menu key to boot from dvd drive.

Are you getting the message " Press any key to boot from cd " ?

Yes I get that message then when it reboots it doesn't do anything unless I press any key, on other installations it has just moved onto the next stage without an user input. When I do then press any key it starts from the begining.

The boot sequence is in that order too.

Ya, you can`t keep hitting the keyboard. Is this the first time you used this disc on this machine ? Do you know if the disc works properly ?

It is the first first time I used the disc but I also have a spare XP disc and that does exactly the same thing.

Confirm that you're not "Pressing any key" when prompted at the reboots.

COnfirm the ISO download completed and write it to stick using UltraISO Software To Create Bootable USB Flash Drive which always works for me when others fail for some reason.
