Installing Windows 7

Hey everyone.
Yesterday I bought a new laptop, an ASUS N56VZ-S3318H if anyone is wondering, and it comes with a Windows 8 disk, which I really hate, I haven't installed it yet, I pretty much just took it out of the box and started it up for a couple seconds and closed it.
Now, it also comes with a bunch of software, since my previous laptop (this one) is an HP I'd very much like to try some of this software out, now I was wondering can I just go ahead and install Windows 7?
Will this cause any performance cuts?
Will I get to keep the software that comes with it?
The shop keeper said it was ok and it wouldn't cause any problems, but is it 100% ok?
I'm also aware that the website has Windows 7 drivers so I'm asuming it can run it.
I'm not interested in dual-booting it, since I don't want to have anything to do with Windows 8 for now.

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Sorry to say, but ASUS are not doing Recovery disc's

You will need to buy Windows 7 license.

there is no problem
win8 and win7 both have almost the same platform and most of software would work on both. after installing win7 check your driver disk and install your wireless or lan driver. get access to the internet and just update your windows to get all of the drivers.

I'm really confused with everything you just said, why would I need a recovery disc? Are you talking about backing up with software that came with the computer? I'm yet to install anything in this computer, it's brand new.

--I actually went to the "Downgrade Windows 8 to Windows 7" link and I figured you copy-pasted from there, but that's not really what I need since, like I said it's brand new, I don't even have the OS installed yet.

So I don't need the disk that came with the computer? Only a Windows 7 disk and I'm good to go?
Also what happens to the software? Is it already installed in the HD? And will it work with Windows 7 as well?

youp, that works, just boot with your win7 disk
but about the software, they are in the other dvds, i have asus too, there is a driver dvd which would install all the software they told in the brochure. you should install them additionally after you installed win7

To put on Windows 7, you'll need to do a clean install. Pre-installed software will be lost.

That assumes that you have no install media for the software.

An an alternative, I suggest that you try Classic Shell:

Welcome to Classic Shell

The result won't be Win7, but it will restore much of the stuff that Microsoft removed from the desktop.

That approach will be a lot safer than trying to replace the OS.

I actually know some alternatives, and to be honest I'll probably go ahead and install Windows 8, try the software out and just dump Windows 8 all together if it doesn't appeal me, the pre-installed software this is.

And @mmkarimi I don't have a second disk, so I'm asuming it's like bobkn said, it's pre-installed.

If you have a license, yes.
