    I would like to make a windows 7 lite version.


    Hey.
    I would like to make a windows 7 lite version.
    Hard volumes fell apart, and now I have to use my friends machine.
    In my my computer is only 20 GB old ide hard drive.
    So how can I make windows 7 lite version?

    Try vLite - Windows Vista configuration tool otherwise I would try a Linux distro and use WINE to emulate some windows functionality for a small HD.

    I know with vlite able to customize the only windows vista.

    I believe that the same principles can apply to Windows 7. There are known problems with the AIK toolkit and WinSXS. You try Windows XP instead as that uses less disk space than Windows Vista or 7 - 1.5 GB compared to 16GB for Win7.

    There really isn't anything you can leave out without unintended consequences, except languages. Win7 is already as lean as can be while still having full functionality.
