Non Destructive Rebuilds

Hi all - my first message here so be nice :)

Anyway, I haven't had much chance to play with W7 yet but some of my friends have and they are far less techy than I. What this boils down to is that I get all their tech support queries and I'm just trying to prep for the day ...

So, with XP one can always do a "non destrcutive" re-install of the OS. And by this I mean it effectively puts a clean copy of the OS on but leaves all documents, settings, intact.

Will W7 do this as well?

And if so has nayone documented it yet do you know? My google effort turned up nothing that my short attention psan could cope with ...!

Yes, Win7 does that too.

With the disk in place, boot and wait until you can select repair install.
