Is this the right way to restore my PC to factory settings?

So im looking to restore my PC to its factory settings and i need help from you guys :) so i saw from a video that says all i have to do is go to, Control panel->System and security->Backup And Restore->Recover system settings or your computer->Advanced recovery methods->Reinstall Windows (requires Winodows installation disc) so yeah, will this work? im pretty sure the disc i have that came with my comp is the right disc, on the disc it says"microsoft windows 7 Reinstallation DVD", Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Please if you guys could let me know if this is the right disc and if this is the right way to reset to factory settings that would be super awesome!!!!:)

If you're resetting an OS to factory settings then it should be factory OEM. Why dont' you know the maker of your PC?

A Reinstallation DVD normally means Dell. You can run Dell Windows 7 PC Restore
or get the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Hi Vaas and welcome to Seven Forums. Does your Windows 7 installation DVD have the product key on it, or is it pasted on your PC somewhere? You will need that to activate your copy of Windows 7 after you re-install it. You can use the procedure to re-install Windows that you outlined, but I usually just boot the computer up with the installation DVD and run the installer from there. If your computer didn't come with a lot bloatware installed, then your installation DVD shouldn't have much on it either. But you do have the option of downloading a Windows 7 iso and burning it to a new DVD, which won't have any pre-installed bloatware on it. Just read gregrocker's tutorial, which he posted a link to in his reply. I would advise you to first read his tutorial, before you proceed. It will tell you everything you need to know about a clean install. If you have any questions, just ask.

Hey thanks for the response, i do have my key on my case, i also found this guide: How To Clean Install Windows 7 (Part 1 of 3) witch seems pretty simple and it uses the Restart with the DVD method, so does it matter if i use this guide or the guide you suggested ?

Thanks for reading this sorry for bad english~
