Have you ever dealt with a VLK ? You do know that it is different then a retail key, don`t you, and it may very well work. If it`s only 1 key it should cover all the software.

Yes, I have worked quite a lot with VLK keys. As a matter of fact I am writing this post with a volume licensed Windows 8 Enterprise. I have also set up several KMS servers.

Willing to bet ? I say this: It is not possible to activate or use a Windows 7 (any edition) using a Windows 8 Enterprise product key, whether a VLK, retail or OEM without some actions that are clearly against EULA (= hacks and cracks that violates the EULA).

I know how to setup a "fake" KMS but that already includes actions very clearly against EULA, and can not be recommended as a valid method to be used by a legitimate business.

If it is possible and can be proven, I will travel to your home town to buy you a whisky in a pub of your choice. This will happen latest August 2013 (have to think when I can take a break long enough ).

If it is not possible, you will come here to buy me a whisky.

    Is it a bet?

Of course it`s a bet, if the distibutor told them the key covers everything, I`ve already won.

OK Brylanar13 we await your results. There is a lot riding on this, strange they told you there is no windows 7 VLK.

I kind of lost this bet... Or it's a tie. At least I need to send you some nice Whisky...

It's 03:30 AM here, I just woke up a VLK / MAK / KMS expert. He says that also the Software Assurance customers have a 90 day downgrade right, so if the OP manages to install all needed Windows Sevens in this 90 days they might be able to downgrade, use Windows 8 licence on 7.

My expert was really pissed of but gave a good answer. He also told that downgrade right is edition specific: With Windows 8 Enterprise VLK & Software Assurance keys you can only downgrade to Seven Enterprise.

Let me know your mailing address and what kind of whisky you prefer (single malt, blended, Irish, Scotch or even that brown schnapps Americans call bourbon?).

EDIT: Feeling responsible, I sent OP a message, telling about this. Hopefully he can see it. My apologies.

I also gave you rep for arguing with me. It is always a good idea!

My last question is this Once again a local dealer delivered a 49 pcs of windows 7 pro oem which is a 32bit operating system we wanted to upgrade it again to vlk with an sa can we upgrade it again to Windows 7 pro or ent with a 64 bit version?

You need to do a clean install to upgrade from x32 to x64.

    For BIOS:
    Clean Install Windows 7

    For uEFI/BIOS firmware:

what I mean is can we upgrade the oem 32bit version of windows 7 pro to VLK with Software Assurance. so that we can have the same key and the quantity of the licenses increase.

Now they need to give the same across-the-board "downgrade" rights for consumer Retail Win8, especially ones they're saddling unsuspecting consumers with who purchase new PC's.

Business doesn't want Win8, is only now migrating to 7 en masse. Win7 is wildly popular with consumers, tens of millions of whom are only now discovering it.

Win8 needs to get out of the way of the most popular OS' ever and one of the greatest achievements in tech history.
