Why would you replace the best OS ever with a dead OS that has no support and won't even install on most modern hardware?
If you have a Recovery partition that still works then boot it to reinstall Win7, or do the superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 and virtualize XP as advised repeatedly.
If you've already removed Win7 and it's Recovery partition, or the Recovery partition does not boot anyway, then wipe the HD first with Diskpart Clean Command to try XP install.
If error continues then try another XP installer for your licensed version - OEM or retail sku.
