Windows 7 cannot be installed to this SSD disk.

I have Dell Inspiron N5110 i7 and with 8Gb RAM and I have replace DVD drive with SSD disk in caddy,
and that this is working fine ( when formatting I can copy files), also I have selected AHCI for SATA controller in BIOS.
After that my plan is to put Win7 on SSD disk. So I have make one USB flash with win7 installation from iso file.

Then during installation when I got to point to select SSD disk as disk where OS will be installed I recieve message :

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu
What I need to do, I have formatted SSD disn with HTFS, I have leave it blank, I have tried all possibilities.

    Do u have some idea/help...

Hi there, Welcome to Seven Forums,

So let me just get this straight before we try anything?

You are trying to format your SSD to put Windows 7 as the operating system on it? Is that correct?

So why can't you just pop in the Windows 7 disc. Go through some of the install instructions and you should come to the inbuilt disc formatting part, this should do the trick...?

I dnt have disc, only windows on USB, but that is not a problem,
I can format over there disk, and do anything with him, BUT always I have message from windows that :

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu
And with that I cant do anything, I cannot pass that step of installation. I'm stuck

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals,

Boot into BIOS setup, reset to defaults, save changes. Next if an EFI BIOS, enable Legacy BIOS, set DVD drive first to boot, HD second. Then set SATA controller to AHCI. Save changes and Exit.

Then boot into installer DVD or flash stick burned or written using tool and latest ISO for your licensed OS version here.

At first installer screen Press Shift + F10 to open a Command Box, type:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
    CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired)
    FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
    ACTIVE
    EXIT
    EXIT

Next click Install Now, then Custom install to Clean Install Windows 7 to the partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.

After install you can adjust partition size or Create new partitions for data, etc. in Disk Mgmt. We are creating the partition here to mark it Active which overcomes certain install failures.
