I will make things even easier.
This is the copyright string in "easyldr" extracted using strings.exe(sysinternals):

    VS_VERSION_INFO
    StringFileInfo
    040904B0
    CompanyName
    Microsoft Corporation
    FileDescription
    Boot Loader
    FileVersion
    5.2.3790.2825 (srv03_sp2_rc.061103-1303)
    InternalName
    osloader.exe
    LegalCopyright
    Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
    OriginalFilename
    osloader.exe
    ProductName
    Microsoft
    Windows
    Operating System
    ProductVersion
    5.2.3790.2825
I think that Neosmart is breaking copyright law pretending that easyldr is a Neosmart product.

Brink, gregrocker I need your answer - is Neosmart violating copyright law ?

I don't think Microsoft has given a license to Neosmart to rename ntldr to easyldr and sell it as its own product.
Why would Microsoft leave its copyright notice in a product given to another company ?

    Boyans,

I think that this should be a debate between Microsoft and EasyBCD/NeoSmart if it is instead. Until it is declared to be so by Microsoft, there will be no issue recommending to use this program here at Seven Forums.

For now, let's stop hijacking this thread, and get back to helping Hansen with his issue shall we. :)

    @Hansen,

Please update us on your status. Sorry for this hijack.
