Windows 7: I am trying to access the bootsect.exe in order to remove grub

Windows 7 Premium Home edition x64

Thank you all for your help, but I have opted to just do a clean reinstall of windows 7. I used Hiren's boot CD to launch a linux recovery environment to delete all my partitions, and then a mini windows xp to access the diskpart command, which I used to clean the harddrive. I then downloaded a windows 7 install iso, burned it, and then used it to install windows 7. The computer is running quite well now, and i'm actually quite happy to be rid of the asus recovery partition and all the bloatware that ASUS computers come with. Again, thank you very much for all your support.

I linked repeatedly to how to run Diskpart Clean Command from Win7 DVD: DISKPART At PC Startup.

I also gave you the steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which explain how to repartition during install, and also tips to get and keep a perfect install. How did those work out for you?

How many driver were provided by Windows Updates after all rounds completed? How many were still missing which you had to import?
