    Yeeeeees!!!
    .......this fuc....answer I was need..!!Thank you a lot Kaktussoft!
..I had to use 1000 words to get it! thanks..
    - So you don't have a recent backup? Only one when you bought computer, so actually the same as "restore to factory defaults".
So yes the situation is like you have understand...it was my mistake I had not make it clear...so to use oem disks or w7image is like reinstalling w7...
    - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You want Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Greek...correct?

Of course I would prefer to have W7 Ultimate...but is illegal...so I'll stay with my version.
I don't care anymore to have greek but I care to have the recovery partition (is a very easy way to roll back)......but the recovery partition have nothing to do with languages?
So can I use the W7 disks(from iso) for repair and change language?
    Thanks for patience and informations

...you say to reistall driver before I clear up the whole story?
Why? is it going to help me? A...and we speak for a Dell xps l702x.
What I'll win from that? because now the restoring to earlier time is not working and in the events i find a lot of VSS errors...
Is not better first to have a good Os?

    Don't use the win7 english ISO's!

Restore an image=put the partitions you backupped in a state as they were at time of backup.

RECOVERY partition=Use it to recover the laptop to the state it was when you bought it. So it makes the laptop greek.

Clean install=install windows in a empty partition.
    ================

Best thing to do is: Borrow a win7 x64 Greek Home Premium DVD from neighbors and do Repair Install

    try that first

    May vss errors...hmmm
Is it a western digital disk or seagate? Please do this in elevated command prompt
    Code:
    chkdsk/f C:
So check the disk for errors and repair them.
For seagate disk use SEATOOLS, for western digital disk use Data Lifeguard Diagnostic .
VSS errors ... that's why system restore doesn't work! Maybe disk is not healthy anymore. Prove it's healthy with the tools I described above

Since volume shadowing is having problems and does't work fine now anyway:
System Protection - Turn On or Off

Turn it off, press OK. turn it on again afterwards. Give it enough space at least 8GB.
Now try to create a manual restore point System Restore Point - Create

Kaktussoft I really thank you for all the informations.
I am not sure but I believe the hard disk (WDC WD7500BPKT-75PK4T0), is ok. Also is a new laptop
(less than a year). But anyway I'll follow your advices.
For the moment my problem is that I have to go out with my dog (I am all day infront the monitor).....
......so for now I have to stop...and I will be back in 4 hours. (we must go also to a dog-doctor)
...After I must decide what to do, I'll write back....If you are in the mood...give an eye to the thread...later....and
I don't know how I can thank you...
    you help me a lot

...and now of course all the restoring points-times are deleted...

There is no reason to have Ultimate instead of Home Premium. They are the exact same OS with a few extra expensive features in Ultimate that almost no one needs.

If this is the original Dell factory Preinstall then I would Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get rid of the bloatware and useless duplicate utilties which throttle and corrupt Win7. You sound like a tech enthusiast and no tech enthusiast would run the boatware preinstall.

During the booted reinstall you can delete all partitions except OEM Diagnostics, which I would run from boot first to make sure it works and test your hardware before the reinstall: Dell Diagnostics Utility - How to Run the. If it won't run then delete it's partition too during the reinstall.

You can copy out your files using step 9 in the tutorial.

Indeed other restore points are gone now.. they didn't work anyway. You can create restore points...nice.

you can only prove you disk is fine by running disk diagnostics.
