Problems with new motherboard installation

    So, in the note -.1 above, it sounds like my situation.

    I have a working Win7Ult installation on a flaky motherboard. This is retail Win7 licensed. Sounds like I can:
    1. BOOT the PC normally into Windows 7,
    2. using BCDedit, set the detecthal flag bcdedit /set {current} detecthal yes
    3. shutdown the system and power OFF
    4. SWAP the motherboard
    5. Re-power the new motherboard and the Windows system should re-detect new motherboard stuff and be happy.

    Is this correct?
