IF you are using your 32bit key on 64bit, I should slap you. There's a reason WHY they give you specific keys for each version. I use the same thing you do, they gave me 1 Serial for my 32bit and 1 for my 64bit.
Keys are platform independent. There's no such thing as an x86 key or an x64 key.

When you download the ISO, what speed do you burn it at? Does the CRC Check Pass, or does it fail?
Burn errors would only affect installation, not activation issues. If it installed fine, then his burn is fine.

Maybe your key can only be activated one time (after all it was free right)? Did you check the message from the license manager from an elevated command prompt?

    slmgr -dlv

    slmgr -xpr
maybe I'm just wasting my breath (so to speak)?

    Troubleshooting
    Error code 0xC004C008

    Symptom

When you try to use KMS to activate one or more computers, you may receive the following error message:
    0xC004C008
The activation server determined that the specified product key could not be used.

    Cause

This issue may occur if the KMS key has exceeded the activation limit. **KMS keys will activate up to 10 times on six different computers.
    Workaround

If you need more activation times, contact the PA Call Center.

Ever have one of those long nights, where you cram for hours, and you take your test, only to find out you barely passed it? I just took my pre-certification , I passed but with minimum score. So if its going to be slapworthy, mind kickin' my butt instead? My head is swollen from hitting my desk/books for the past 12 hours.
