You may have cancelled while dism had hives mounted. Reboot should fix that.

    Made some adjustments now: UPDATE7v7.zip

Si, can the 3 Registration Entries folders in .bin be deleted to avoid the various modifications made to .iso, and only slip the Updates in?

You and I may like these but I feel better having a pristine updated Win7 ISO install to others' PC's.

I am still getting no version choices at the beginning for v.7.7.

v.5 was able to dismount the .wim, confirms it is dismounted, and does offer version choices.

Si, if I've missed this in the thread somewhere I apologise, but is there any way to use this for Vista discs?
I know a couple people still using Vista (yes, seriously) and this would be really handy.

Edit: Actually I've just checked and the WUD Vista lists haven't been updated since 2009 so there wouldn't be much point.
You can use this: Vista Update by DrWindows - April 2015
Thanks for the updated lists Si, will come in handy. Although I'd have no idea how to get this working for Vista, I'm not that skilled.

Just download the exe from the link ( where it says Bitte Hier kilcken ).

Then install Vista, and run the exe you downloaded.

    Oops sorry Si!

I was thinking I'd have to somehow integrate those updates using your software, but now I see it's an update that can be run after Vista is installed.

v7 Image selection works for me. Not sure what the problem is for you. That part of the script is the same as v5

Yes for v5, you can delete or rename the .reg files, and they will not be integrated. You will get an error message that they are not found, but it doesn't matter.

    Thanks, Si.

After trying v.5 twice for UEFI flash stick written from upgraded ISO with Rufus, I am getting both times "Required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" error which almost always means a bad installer.

The source ISO is good because using it alone does not create the error. It seems to be become corrupted in the Updating process, which I have followed exactly as done many times before with only the hibernate settings commented out and Start page changed to about:blank.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like the wim information is incomplete. No idea what that has to do with updates, though.

Try exporting the updated image using gimagex for example.

You can now update boot.wim and winre.wim.
