One other small observation, Greg. In Post #6 -Quote-
    (Hi Rocketsfan -

Can you post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Management drive map, using the Snipping Tool in Start Menu? Screen Shots

On Acer it's unlikely Factory Recovery or any OEM partition is still functional or needed, so as dealt with in the tutorial I would consider deleting them.

You can now recover the space using Disk Management to Delete and Extend C to the right, or free Partition Wizard bootable CD to Resize C to the left.)
Unquote - the hyperlink "Screen Shots" does nothing to your otherwise excellent discourse 'for noobs like me' and should be removed.

    Hi,
I am hung up on point 3...

    3. Extract this onto C. UPDATE7v4.zip

    https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=B0A22...89320E3247!216

Then RUN AS ADMIN on the .cmd

...I clicked on "extract to" and a window opens "extraction paths and options". Do I type C. UPDATE7v4.zip in the space under destination path?

Tried to download (Save As) Update7v4.zip, But all I get is a Msg "This file could not be downloaded"!

I click on the above link, Right click on the "Update7v4" Folder (on Skydrive.live.com), Select Download and then select "Save As" at the bottom of IE 9 downloader Bar, click on OK, BUT Cant get past the "could not be downloaded" error msg!

I don't Use Skydrive, so maybe thats the prob, But given its a public folder ????

    Thanks

I just downloaded it fine in ubuntu. Not sure why you are having a problem.

I am using Firefox, maybe an IE9 issue?
