It is an .exe. Cant put it in with dism . Only cab and msu files.
Some smaller exe files , can have the cab extracted as a workaround ( that is how I do IE ). Doesn't work with the service pack.
Does anyone have the same thing that I can do for vista? I saw the updater on this for windows 7 hasnt updated for vista in years so that wouldnt work.
Thanks in advance.
I notice when I run the 3/11 Updates to add to my x64Updates folder it only adds the new ones and doesn't overwrite the others. This saves a lot of time. Nice program.
Now I am adding Pro to my x64 Home Premium/Ultimate (so far) updated files. Will adding the new Updates affect the HP and Ultimate I've already updated but which are not updated yet to 3/11? Any easier way to do this than starting over?
I get this when adding. I think it's because I edited out the reg changes awhile back, correct?
Can I still just replace the old install.wim on flash stick with the newest one after these updates?

What size ISO are people ending up with. I did Home Premium x64 originally 3.09gig. Added all updates suggested IE11 and Silverlight and its grown to 3.82gig. Seems much bigger than I expected, going to try an install now.

Sorry for the late reply. @Greg, yes that is fine. It is looking for reg files you have removed/renamed. No problem.
Yes, you can just use the newly updated install.wim on your flash drive. None of the other files have been altered, just install.wim.

Don't tel me, tell steven455.
It depends what you count as updates, if you are only interested in satisfying WU, or if you want to include all 500+ listed by komm and others.
